This research is interesting in that it distinguishes the coding of backgrounding in “folktale narratives” in contrast to “eye-witness stories”. Where folktales use mostly adverbials and conjunctions, personal stories (eye-witness) use chance of aspect of the verbs. Interlinearized text samples of four short eye-witness stories are added to the document. The object of research is Southern Zazaki (dialect of Çermik).
